Ascendance Email Setup

 

 

This document is meant to help guide you through setting up your email program. If you encounter any problems or issues, please feel free to call us at: (530)889-8300 option 2.

 

Setting up Outlook

 

Open up Outlook.

 

 

 

Click on “Tools” then click on “E-mail Accounts…”

 

 

Click on “Add a new e-mail account”.

 

Click “Next”.

 

 

Click on “POP3”.

 

Click “Next”

 

 

User information

Enter your Name in the “Your Name” field.

Enter your E-mail address in the “E-mail Address” field.

 

Server Information

For “Incoming mail server (POP3)” enter: mail.ascendance.net

For “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” enter: mail.ascendance.net

 

 

Logon Information

In the “User Name” field, enter your FULL email address

In the “Password” field enter your password. Make sure that the “Remember password” box is checked

 

When you have completed the above steps, click on the “More Settings…” button.

 

 

Put a check in the box for “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”

 

Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is marked.

 

Click “OK”

 

Click “Next”

 

Then click “Finish”.

 

You should now be able to send and receive emails.
